Edgar Navarrete is a New York City painter. He started experimenting with acrylic and oil in his teens, absorbing books on Degas, Cocteau, Picasso, de Kooning and the Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros. He found a second creative outlet in culinary school and enjoyed a successful career as a Chef and consultant. After twenty years as a Chef, he decided to devote himself entirely to painting. Most recently he has studied at the Student Arts League and currently paints full time.
