Elinor Shapiro grew up in Los Angeles California, She works in a variety of mediums but her current body of work is mixed media generally using charcoal, pastels, ink, and acrylic paint. Elinor majored in art at California State University Northridge. After studying for a time in California she relocated to Orquevaux France, where she works as Associate Director at the artist Residency Chateau Orquevaux. Art has been a lifelong interest for Elinor, encouraged by her family, she grew up in art museums with childhood idols like Claude Monet, Sam Francis, and Alexander Calder. She continues to explore her interest in art and is at the moment delving into the world of abstraction.
